About us
I am Jonathan, and I will explain how a 31-year-old Alsatian (without children!) came up with the idea of creating The Dream Box, a unique children’s story application.
It all started when I was taking care of my niece Mathilde, who is 5 years old, during her school holidays. The big suitcase was packed, toys were ready too, but inevitably, there was a forgetfulness… Can you guess what it was? Her favorite books were left on her bedside table. Disaster! We would have to find an alternative to the bedtime story ritual to get her to sleep…
That’s when my longtime buddy, Cyril, came into the picture. I told him about my adventures the next day at the office (yes, we’re also colleagues!). A lightbulb moment occurred, and we envisioned the beginnings of The Dream Box, the mobile application with the power to replace books.
That was exactly one year ago. In the meantime, we haven’t been idle! There were hours of work, lines of code, meetings… And the result is a beautiful, intuitive, ad-free application that not only allows you to read and listen to stories but also to create your own custom stories! It’s truly magical ✨
